Experience Zanzibar differently
Meet a local henna artist and learn about the cultural traditions and artistic patterns associated with henna in Zanzibar and the wider Swahili Coast. Your artist will carefully create a temporary henna design using traditional techniques and decorative patterns.
Choose from a selection of traditional and contemporary designs, or discuss your preferred style with the artist before the session begins. The experience is relaxed, personal and suitable for visitors looking for a memorable cultural activity during their stay in Zanzibar.
Henna painting is a popular form of body art across the Swahili Coast and is often associated with celebrations, weddings and cultural occasions. This experience gives visitors an opportunity to appreciate this artistic tradition while receiving their own temporary design.
